PJ3 - Shoot 2 - Favourites

The background of this photo is not positioned correctly and seem quite messy. However i do like the colouring, the light whites and oranges give a real feel of life and the colour of animals have turn out realistic and clean. The light i used is white with a orange casing which gives off nice warm tones. Maybe a black background could be better as a setting so more colours will be visible

The angles of the shadows is my favorite  technique in this photo. I like how they go from small to big as it gives of an idea that the animals are be enlarged to be more  of a realistic size. The reason I shot these image inside the small box was to see what would happen with the shadows and the lights, they end up reflecting nicely of the walls. It is not good that you can see my hand and the light i am using in the photo.

To make the shadows appear as they did i flashed the light into the animals at a different angle each time. The reason for this was to create movement to relate to my concept. I think the background is effective along with the shadows around the animals. The one factor that ruins this photo is that you can see the edges of the box and is is very out of focus.

This photo is obviously similar to the previous one but i have added the combination of moving shadow and colour. The colours of the shadows have overlapped creating different opacity's which is effective. If the animals were more spaced out and centered in frame the image could have been a lot better.

I really like the colours that were created in this photo, they portray the idea of life and energy clearly. The way that the lights have over powered the real textures of the animals has given them an interesting mix of colours. This lighting in this photo is the more effective part as it has made the background look the best out of all the photos I took. The streams of white light could be softer however it does create a glow underneath the animals which is like an negative shadow. This backs up the idea of them being alive but give an obvious impression that they are not life size but are trying to appear that way.
